If you’re someone who doesn’t have a credit card, you would find out later on that topping-up you’re steam wallet is a tedious job. I personally have tried using a friend’s debit card and Paypal account, only to no avail.



This time however, I’ve discovered an easy way to top-up your steam account without a credit card: Codashop. Codashop is an online merchant where you could purchase steam wallet cards and other game credits. Codashop offers steam wallet cards in various denominations (P50, P250, P500, P1000, and P2200).

However, you might have to pay higher than the denomination offered. They also have different payment methods that you could choose to purchase your game credits. You could pay through over-the-counter at different banks, bayad centers, Globe load, Smart load, Globe GCASH and many more.



I personally, prefer through Globe GCASH because wallet cards through GCASH is usually the cheapest and some banks may have to charge you P50 for the deposit.

So now you have the chance to purchase those steam games or Dota 2 items you’ve always wanted without having the need to apply for a credit card. But as a reminder, you won’t have access to the community market unless a steam purchased have been made for 30 days from the day of purchase.

It's been a while since my last post. A lot of things had happen. I've been away from home for a month for our community exposure which is a part of our medical school's curriculum. We've just finish our Trauma Course but still waiting for the result of our summative exam (Hopefully, there will be no casualties among our batch).

For our 2nd course for this semester of medical school, we would be dwelling on infectious diseases. Our first Problem-Based Learning (PBL) module would take place tomorrow. I'm excited to know what would be the case to be discussed. The case tomorrow would be under the module of abdominal pain which would lasts for 3 days. Other modules under the infectious diseases course includes fever and rashes, cough, jaundice and many more.

I am hoping that the PBL session tomorrow would be very productive with my new group/PBL mates.

Can you trust the Cloud?

What can you do?

• Secure your Password – this is a rule that is often neglected by users. It is suggested that a user should pick a password that isn’t based on a word. As much as possible, it should include random letters and numbers and atleast include a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters. The longer the password the better.
• Choose what you upload – It is advised to avoid uploading files that include sensitive information/content (in the case of the celebrities, nude photos). This also includes credit card numbers, addresses, etc. Or anything that you wouldn't want others to have.
• Choose your Cloud service provider – This should also be consider if you still intend to avail these services. You should pick a reputable cloud storage service provider which you could trust. If possible, read first reviews about the service provider on how they provide these services especially on how they take security seriously.

I'm on my 1st year of medical school and was planning on purchasing a whiteboard where I can brainstorm into. But somehow, I've gotten hold of an old whiteboard.

As you can see, the board is battered. There are scratches everywhere, stickers, sticker marks, leftover masking tape, and even doodles left by permanent markers visible on almost every corner of the board.  I've decided on discarding the old board and just purchase a new one but somehow thought of trying to fix/recycle the board. So, here it goes...


The first thing I thought I should do was to remove the sticker and leftover tapes. My first try was by using a wet cloth to try and rub off the sticker, but unfortunately it didn't work. The sticker was there for too long that it's almost impossible to remove. The only thing that did the trick was by using a sharp knife. Tilt the knife into a 15 degree angle or less and scratch off the stickers and tape.

When doing this, you have to be careful not to scratch the board (I did a few). Also, I suggest using a plain edged knife to reduce the risk of scratching the board's surface. Here's the end result:

The second step is to wash off the dirt and other impurities from the board. I did this using a dishwashing liquid and a wet cloth.


The last step is to remove marks left by permanent markers. One thing you can do is use a whiteboard marker and draw over the permanent ones then wipe it off with a dry cloth. However, for this board due to numerous marks, I thought I'd use denatured alcohol. Just wet the cloth with alcohol and wipe off the marks left by permanent markers. Although, any alcohol based solutions would do the trick but in my opinion, denatured alcohol works best. Here's the end result:

I wasn't really expecting this kind of result. Although, I may have made a few damages due to experimenting with the methods I've used. The whiteboard is now usable compared to its old state. I just hope that I'd be able to find something to fix the scratches but somehow, I'm happy with result.

Deadline of entries will be on the midnight of the 1st of August, 2014. Afterwards, a couple of activities will take place for the preparation for the awarding  of prizes by January, 2015 at London.

The earth's resources, with 7 billion people, are going scarce. It is important that each of us should take part in sustainable living for the benefit of the next generation. This award is a way of validating and recognizing the efforts of young individuals in addressing the problems of sustainable living. Good luck to the all participants!
